Clare and I went on our first GeoCache search today!

While researching close Caches on the website, I kept seeing posts with messages like “I met RedFive while looking for this Cache, testing out his GPS”, and thought… “c’mon, what are the chances?”. But, sure enough, while running back to the car for our schwag to put in the first Cache we found, I saw a group of people getting out of a car with GPS’s. I chatted with them while walking back to the Cache, telling them it was my first find, while finding out that this was their 1,225th (or something like that).

We had three Caches lined up. The first was somewhere at the Orange County Fairgrounds, but since the Swap Meet was going on, we were unable to get in there. The second (our first “find”), was at a very close park in our neighborhood… and the third was at another nearby park, across the street from our neighborhood.

It was a gorgeous day, and my wife’s idea. She wanted me to relax for the day, and it worked! So much fun!
