Feeling Great!

Posted in Baby, Clare | 1 Comment »

Pregnancy is a strange thing. There’s the heartburn, the sleeplessness, excruciating back pain, loss of stomach muscles, bone aches, exhaustion, congestion, the list can go on and on. Yet overall I feel great! Something must take over your mind… I’m sure I’ll change my tune at about Month 8.

We cannot wait to meet Liam! His kicks and wiggles are getting stronger, and he already seems to be on a routine – usually freaking out at 8:30pm on the dot. At first the movements just felt like when your muscle has a twitch… but now it feels like there’s an octopus in there doing aerobics. It’s very distracting when I’m at work! But it’s fun when Josh can not only feel him moving, we can see him moving too!

The new carpets are in, and we’ve bought the crib so the baby’s room can now begin! We’re doing a Jungle theme but trying not to go overboard. We’ll post photos as soon as we’re done! We have been debating stroller options- who knew there were so many things to consider! Luckily we discovered the book “Baby Bargains” early on, and that has saved our sanity… It’s also nice that I have about 5 preggo friends and we can all discuss these issues together!

So we’re at 23 weeks now – only 17 more to go! There will be another ultrasound at the beginning of April, so we’ll post those pictures when we’ve got them!

Wooooohooooo!!! I was accepted to San Jose State University for my Master’s in Library and Information Science! I’ll be taking classes at the Cal State Fullerton campus as well as online. SJSU is one of only two accredited programs in California for Library Science.

My classes will start at the end of January, and I’ll still be working full time at Barnes & Noble, so I’ll be testing out the time management skills… I’ll be taking two of the three core classes: “Information and Society” and “Information Retrieval” (see descriptions here)

I’m excited but nervous! Hopefully, if I enjoy these classes, I’ll be done in about three years, and then I can be a Librarian! My life is so like the movie Party Girl with Parker Posie, sigh ;)
